April was a great month around these parts! Not only did we celebrate Lauren's baptism, we hosted lots of family from out of town for the week. A huge thanks to Grams & Papa Frank, Aunt Meg & Uncle Mike and the Cali crew - Travis, Keri and Garin. Believe it or not all of the pics below took place in a matter of 6 days. We were on-the-move!
First things first, Lo's baptism! It was a great day! Papa John joined us as well.

One of Lauren's favorite primary teacher's from last year - Brian I. He was one of the speakers. It's the best when other adults carve time out of their lives to make a difference in your child's life.
Yet another one of Lauren's church leaders that she had speak - Meg H. Oh how we all love Meg H.!
Ok, Meg will kill me for posting this pic, but she wouldn't give me a serious smile - which is another reason we love her. These two dear friends of mine (Camille and Meg) are leaving me. Traitors. They will both move from the area with their families the second week in June. I just can't even think about it just yet...
A family trip to the beach!

My sis Megan and her husband Mike. (Ok, we can finally stop calling him the "internet husband" now that we have actually met him. That story could be a whole separate post. The good news is he fit right in.)

One of the great things we love about the beach here is that when the tide goes out, it leaves great tide pools. The younger kids can play in them and not even care about the ocean (perfect for paranoid or just lazy mothers - For the record, I think I fall into each category)
So here is Rodney pulling Brooke on the body board - except he's going a little too fast....
When they come back around at full speed, Brooke promptly falls off into the water. Lucky for us, the sound of the ocean drowns out the wailing of my children.
All ends well. He is forgiven. Now if he could only remember not to cause injury to our kids right in front of the lifeguard next time...

Travis was itching to fish, so we headed to a local pier.....

Can't have a family gathering without bowling. I'm still trying to figure out why. We talk an awful lot of smack, until the bowling starts - and none of us are that great.
